About Me

My name is Luana (pronounced Lu wana).

About Me

I am a proud mother of one daughter and the grandmother of two incredible grandchildren. In my free time, I love indulging in various crafts such as knitting, crocheting, ceramics, etc, and nurturing healthy sprouts.

Professionally, I am an Educator

I have spent years teaching in various classroom settings including Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 3rd Grade, and 4th Grade. However, in 2001, I transitioned to the technology department within our district. This role has allowed me to continue working closely with students while also coaching, modeling, and supporting teachers.

The Heart of the Home

The kitchen has always held a special place in my heart. Growing up, our home was always filled with lively gatherings around the table. It was our space for meals, conversations, laughter, games, Bible reading, devotions, and prayer.

Cherished Memories

Summer trips to visit my Grandpa and Grandma Arnold in Indiana are some of my fondest memories. The kitchen table was where aunts, uncles, cousins, my parents, my brothers, and I would come together. I can still taste the delicious homemade sugar cookies Grandma used to bake. The constant flow of meals and conversations made every moment special.

A New Chapter

Despite embarking on a vegan journey two years ago, the kitchen remains a sanctuary for me. Now, it’s a place for growing sprouts and savoring raw and healthy foods. Visiting my dear friend Clara’s kitchen brings back a flood of nostalgic memories. This blog, Clara’s Cozy Kitchen, is a tribute to my parents, grandparents, and the cherished moments shared around the table.
